Lab 11 Comparing browsers

Install Google Browser Google Chrome and Firefox 9.0, try a few websites and compare their performance. For example, youtube, blogspot, msn, and yahoo.

Compare the following features:

• Operating system support

         Firefox: 幾乎所有的網頁都有支援開啟

         Google Chrome: 有些網站無法開啟

• Bookmark management

         Firefox: 把書籤和RSS整合在一起

         Google Chrome: 會把書籤和歷史紀錄獨立出來

• Download management

         Firefox: 會跳出新視窗，有下載紀錄

         Google Chrome: 下載視窗回直接顯示在下面，有夏ㄗ季路

• Password management

         Firefox、Google Chrome，兩者都可個別儲存密碼，會再登入後做詢問

• Form Management

         Firefox， Google Chrome都可利用 ctrl"+" "-" 來改變大小

• Spell checking

         Firefox: 有內建

         Google Chrome:有內建

• Search Engine toolbar

         Firefox: 右上有搜尋列可做搜尋

         Google Chrome: 直接在網址列作搜尋，很方便

• Privacy mode

         Firefox:  保密模式做的相當完整，當要輸入帳號密碼的地方都會稍作提醒

         Google Chrome: 有無痕模式，關閉無痕式視窗後，也不會在電腦上留下其他痕跡

• Auto update

         Firefox: 會自動更新

         Google Chrome: 會自動更新
